Checking out Hope Church in Spencer

Checked out Hope Church in Spencer for their casual service around tables. Enjoyed the worship music. They had an interesting prayer time where people put their prayer requests on cards, then the pastor prayed through them. A little different, but good.

Noticed they also have lunch together as a congregation after every worship service. A lot of work but a good time of fellowship.

Trucksess Family Summer Vacation - 2010

We left Iowa on a Monday and made our first stop in St. Joseph, MI where I served as a youth pastor for 6 years. After visiting some friends, the kids had a chance to ride the Merry-Go-Round....

and play in the local fountain!

The kids needed a break after the driving so they unwound in the pool.

The next day we made it to Mom and Dad Trucksess.

While there we too an overnight trip to the New Jersey Shore.

We had a chance to go charter fishing. We caught flounder but none big enough to keep.

Daniel and Cindy caught a sand shark!

The pizza on the New Jersey Shore Boardwalk is amazing. They are huge 26 inch pies!
As for toppings, if you can think of it, they put it on the pizzza

We didn't see many health food nuts, especially at the shop that served these!

Grammy and GrandBob were thankful to be with their grandchildren! See any resemblance?

After a week and a half, it was time to leave for home. Say so long to the parents for a 3 day drive to Iowa

My father met another woman! Fortunately, she didn’t want to join us for the rest of the trip.

Mongolian Grill for dinner!

IMG_0913
This guy was REALLY hungry. Have you ever seen so much food in a bowl?

IMG_0911
The Trucksess ladies were more modest in their portion size.

IMG_0909
The grill masters at work. If you haven’t tried Mongolian, we recommend it.
